Complete Your Air-Wave or Pneumatic Sensing Edge System
Air switches complete an Air-Wave or pneumatic sensing edge or treadle system. These systems operate by detecting pressure—when the edge, air hose, or treadle is compressed, a wave of air activates the switch, which then signals motor controls to stop and/or reverse operation.
We offer a full selection of air switches, hoses, and kits to support both new installations and on-the-job retrofits.
Note: Air-Wave and pneumatic are non-monitored configurations. In the U.S. and Canada, air-activated sensing edges are ideal for:
- Pre-2010 commercial door operators
- Pre-2016 gate operators
- Use as a secondary entrapment protection device
