Introducing Light Curtain—DUO: Simplified Ordering, Expanded Compatibility

Miller Edge has introduced Light Curtain—DUO (MLC-DUO), the new generation of our commercial door light curtain product family. Designed to simplify product selection and inventory for door professionals, MLC-DUO combines output capabilities previously offered through separate MLC and RLC models into a single product.

One Light Curtain. Three Output Options.

DUO stands for Dual Universal Output. Each MLC-DUO supports three output configurations:

• Pulsed monitored
• Normally open (N.O.) relay
• Normally closed (N.C.) relay

By supporting monitored and relay applications in the same light curtain, MLC-DUO reduces the number of models dealers need to identify, order, and stock.

Two Models Replace Four

The new product family includes two models:

MLC-K36-DUO

8 optical elements

MLC-K72-DUO

16 optical elements

Together, these SKUs replace the previous: MLC-K36, RLC-K36, MLC-K72, and RLC-K72.

Extended Non-Contact Detection

Light Curtain—DUO creates a dense thru-beam infrared detection field across the commercial door opening, providing extended vertical non-contact detection. It offers a 32-ft. operating range and is available in 3-ft. and 6-ft. protection heights.

Light Curtain—DUO is a UL 325 Recognized Component when used as a monitored entrapment device and carries a two-year warranty.

Designed for Straightforward Installation

Light Curtain—DUO includes universal mounting brackets and extension mounts for flexible installation across a range of commercial door applications. The emitter and receiver snap into the mounting brackets, while integrated LED indicators help with setup and diagnostics.
